Depok-Students of the Public Relations study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), through the UI Public Relations Vocational Student Association (HM VokHum UI), visited the Sahabat Yatim Jagakarsa Orphanage on March 22, 2025. A number of students held a PR Sharing activity which is a form of real action of student concern for the community and is implemented through sharing warmth and happiness in the holy month of Ramadan. The activity focused on distributing aid and breaking the fast together with the children of the orphanage.
Sheilin Rahdianty Anika, a Public Relations student who is the Project Officer for the activity, said that this activity is a place for them to learn good social interaction and communication. She said, “This work program also serves as a guideline for us to emphasize concern, togetherness, and harmony with others. Without exception, this activity is a form of community service, especially for children in orphanages.”

Head of the Public Relations Study Program, Mareta Maulidiyanti, S.Sos., M.M., said that this social activity which is carried out periodically every year not only provides benefits to the community, but also to the students. According to her, various aspects of public relations that students have learned in class can be implemented into the social event. “The PR Sharing activity is a strategic step for students to learn to create and organize an event, improve a positive image, and build relationships with the community. Hopefully this activity can continue and open up opportunities for more other beneficial social activities in the future,” Mareta concluded.
